About Shelley

Shelley Lynne Cummins

Shelley teaches yoga to people across the globe
and offers yogic counseling sessions.  She presents a unique
blend of interdisciplinary yogas as well as Hasya, Laughter Yoga.
Shelley is a Oneness Trainer from the renowned Oneness University
in India offering Oneness Certification programs and classes.
She has a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Arizona
where she received a full scholarship and danced professionally
with Ballet Arts while attending school.  She also attended
University of London and Ballet Rambert Conservatory.

Upon moving to New York City Shelley had an eclectic
dance career in contemporary ballet and east/west theater.
She taught and directed a pre professional dance company for
high school students at Suny Purchase College and was
an educational teaching artist for the New York City Ballet.

As a devout yogini she developed and taught yoga programs 
for eight years as a founding member of Integrative Medicine
at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital.  She received a
two year grant to work with Alzheimer patients easing anxiety
through movement therapy.  Shelley also taught dance and
yoga therapy to emotionally challenged children and
adolescents for two years at New York Cornell Mental Hospital.

Shelley is the author of The Ecstasy of Practice

Shelley is nomadic traveling often yet calls
New York City and the Hawaiian island of Kauai home.
